Shipping terms
• Cost Insurance and Freight (CIF).
• Any Safe World Port (ASWP). Shipping to unsafe ports possible against an additional fee.
• No shipping to countries under sanctions by the UN/USA/EU.
• Tema Ghana, Pointe/Noire Congo, Alexandric Egypt, Umm Quasir Iraq and Iran are all safe ports for the time being.
• UN is in process of lifting sanctions on Iran, but it could still raise issues.

Time to market
• Loading of first shipment 30-45 days after full operative payment instrument. Small quantities will be faster.
• Shipping time will depend on port of destination, but will typically be 10-25 days.

Payment Terms
• SBLC/BG (MT760) for one-month value or more confirmed by top 50 bank.
• PB 2% of monthly value (also applies if the SBLC is for more than one month).
• TT (MT103) payment of invoiced value against shipping docs and SGS at port of loading.

Discount available against SBLC/BG for more than one-month value.

Procedure (not for negotiation)
• Buyer issues LOI/ICPO + BCL or bank endorsed LOI/ICPO
• Seller issues FCO and/or Draft Contract for amendments
• Buyer signs and seals contract
• Seller returns signed and sealed contract together with pro forma invoice
• Pre PoP is provided by seller
• Buyer’s bank issues pre-advice SBLC/BG (SWIFT MT766)
• Seller’s bank issues PB 2% (SWIFT MT760) and full PoP (MT799) to activate SBLC/BG
• Buyer’s bank issues full operational SBLC/BG (SWIFT MT760)
• SGS inspects the shipment at the port of loading; buyer is entitled to be present
• Vessel is loaded
• Seller sends invoice, shipping documents and SGS certificates to buyer
• Buyer sends payment by TT or MT103 to Seller’s bank
• Steaming (sailing)
• Vessel arrives at port of discharge
